Prof. Charalambos Antoniades (Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine, Radcliffe Department of Medicine, University of Oxford, Oxford, UK) kindly shared his thoughts on the use of high-sensitivity C-reactive protein as a biomarker in clinical decision making, and the role of perivascular adipose tissue in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis from the virtual ESC Congress 2021.
