Atul Verma, AFS 2022: Globe PF system for high-definition mapping and pulsed-field ablation for atrial fibrillation
The clinical outcomes of the Globe PF system use in HD mapping and pulsed-field ablation for atrial fibrillation, are discussed in this touchCARDIO interview with Dr Atul Verma (Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket, Ontorio, Canada). Pulsed field ablation is an innovative therapy that uses electric fields to treat heart tissue. PFA delivered by the Globe PF System is unique in that it achieves true single-shot isolation and also provides high-definition mapping.
The abstract entitled ‘The Globe PF System: A Complete Solution for High-Definition Mapping and Pulsed-Field Ablation for AF’ was presented at the annual AF Symposium, January 13-15, 2022.
- Could you give us a brief overview of pulse field ablation and its advantages compared to conventional PVI procedures? (0:23)
- What are the unique features of the Globe PF system? (1:44)
- Could you tell us a little about clinical outcomes to date with the Globe PF? (3:19)
