Welcome to the latest issue of the European Journal of Arrhythmia & Electrophysiology, the official journal of the Arrhythmia Alliance. We are honoured to present a series of compelling articles that reflect cutting-edge developments and diverse perspectives in this ever-evolving field.

Richard Ang opens the edition with the first in a series of expert interviews designed to share real-world experiences, expertise and insights gained from working in the field of arrhythmia and electrophysiology. He discusses end-to-end arrhythmia nurse specialist-led pathways for supraventricular tachycardia, highlighting a model of care to help address the challenges of the workforce and timely access to investigations and management for patients. Tony Grayson and Carol Hughes then offer insights into a national programme implemented to optimize anticoagulation in patients with atrial fibrillation. The initiative improved patient outcomes and significant cost savings, showcasing the importance of innovative treatment strategies in atrial fibrillation management. Roland Thijs finishes off the series with a discussion of the implementation of the European Society of Cardiology 2022 syncope guidelines, emphasizing improvements in diagnostic accuracy and societal costs.

Johanna Tonko and Pier Lambiase then join us with a review of novel and emerging non-radiofrequency ablation modalities for ventricular arrhythmias, marking a significant step towards personalized treatment strategies for ventricular arrhythmias.

We then have a review from Dana Collin Johnson and Erik Wissner investigating high-density approaches to ventricular tachycardia substrate ablation. This article sheds light on the sophisticated techniques enhancing the precision and efficacy of ventricular tachycardia ablation.

Finally, we wrap up the issue with an article from Mohammed Zuhair, Daniel Keene and Phang Boon Lim who expertly examine catheter ablation as a potential treatment for vasovagal syncope. The article highlights a paradigm shift towards placebo-controlled trials, signifying a new horizon in syncope treatment.

Collectively, these articles showcase the breadth of electrophysiology and are designed to support ongoing education and foster innovation in cardiac arrhythmia management. We hope that you find them not only informative but also engaging. Additionally, if you haven’t already explored the conference hub videos available on our website, we strongly encourage you to do so. These videos feature a wealth of complementary content presented by leaders in the field, providing valuable insights and perspective.
